DDRC “Bring your Buddy” Urban Paddle

Bring your buddy or buddies or your posse – you and your team will be responsible for your shuttle run. Hint: it will help if each buddies’ vehicle holds two boats. We’ll put in at Hebron Parkway and paddle down to McInnish Park, ~5.5 miles. At McInnish Park we’ll have a picnic lunch and share stories and adventures. If you want to paddle after lunch you can head up to Hidden Lake and explore it or go up Denton Creek.

Since it is late in the season we’ll start at 10am on Sunday November 21^st. Yes Sunday, so all you retail workers who requested a Sunday trip – this one is for you.

Many of you have paddled this section before – it is flat, easy with no hazards. Almost any type of canoe or kayak will do.

Please bring a picnic lunch if you wish to join everyone for lunch, plenty of drinking water, rain gear and your PFD. This time year has cooler water and air temperatures, please leave the cotton clothing at home.

Directions:

From I-35E just north of Sam Rayburn Toll Rd. exit at Hebron Parkway going east for 1 ¼ miles.  If you are using google it may be listed as Trinity Fork Park – the City Of Lewisville does not agree with that name – who knows where it came from. Exit right onto a packed gravel road and follow it back to the launch site.
